ummmm hi? i guess i decided i wanted one of these again, lol. i was formerly itpours on here, as well as so_thankful & firebomb, on greatestjournal.
so i guess i'll give you a little info on myself. my name is lauren, a soon to be 19 year old second semester college freshman residing in maryland, u s of a. i can be pretty antisocial, but if you get to know me well enough i can be pretty good company, at least i'd like to think so. horses have been a passion of mine for most of my life; i ride english & love to jump. from the summer of 2004 to late 2006 (or was it early 2007?) i leased an off-the-track, chestnut thoroughbred named bristol's lady in red, lady or ladybug for short. that mare is my best friend. unfortunately, with the chaos that is senior year in high school, i had to stop leasing her because i didn't have the time to ride her on a daily basis, so i decided it was in her best interest to let someone else ride her. however, the kid has yet to show up who can ride & connect with her the way i can. lucky for me, lady's owner is like an aunt to me & still allows me to ride her whenever i'm home. in may 2005 lady gave birth to a colt named briscoe, by an appaloosa stallion named bristol's black river heart, better known as chance, who resides on the same farm. she's currently due in late march/early april with her second foal by chance. aaaaand i just realized that i've been giving you my horse's bio, not mine. oops. ^__^;
let's try to get back on track here...though it seems to me that lady's life might actually be more interesting...how sad. anyway, besides lady i have 2 cats - cinnamon, an 8 year old purebred himalayan, and belle, a 3 year old b&w american shorthair. at least, that's what we assume she is (she's a rescue). when i'm not at school i live with my parents & younger brother ryan, who's going on 16. if i'm not riding then i can usually be found on my butt in front of my computer. i have nooo idea how i waste so much time online, and yet i manage somehow. all through middle school & most of high school i was crazy into web design & had a bunch of websites including my own domain, but i suddenly lost interest a year or two ago. just last month, however, i decided i missed designing, thus my brand new graphics/personal site, skylight, as well as the revival of this here journal you're reading.
speaking of reading, i'm sure you're plenty bored by this point, so that's all for now. =]
